Built for the moments where other apps fail you.

We talked to hundreds of travelers. These are the five moments that make people panic in China. Every feature in this app exists to solve one of them.

🛬You just landed and your phone is useless.

Google, Gmail, WhatsApp, Instagram — all blocked. No SIM, no eSIM, no airport Wi-Fi.

Everything is preloaded. Works in airplane mode.

🚖The taxi driver can't read your hotel name.

Latin letters mean nothing to most local drivers. You point at your phone — they shake their head.

Full-screen Chinese address cards designed for drivers.

🍜The menu is a wall of Chinese characters.

No pictures. No English. The waiter is waiting. You point at random and hope.

500+ phrases for ordering, allergies, "no spicy", and more.

💳Cash isn't accepted, and Alipay is confusing.

Even the noodle stall expects you to scan. You don't know which app, which button, which step.

Step-by-step payment guide written for first-time visitors.

🚨Something goes wrong, and you don't know who to call.

Lost passport, food poisoning, phone stolen. You panic in a language you don't speak.

Emergency hub: numbers, hospital phrases, "I lost my passport" card. Always free.

⚠️Tourist scams target people exactly like you.

Tea-house scam, fake "art student", inflated taxi fares. Locals know — you don't.

Scam-prevention tips written by people who actually live in China.

Everything you need, before you need it.

China Travel Copilot bundles a city guide, a phrasebook, a translator card, an emergency hub, and a pre-trip checklist into one offline app. No login. No tracking. No surprises.

If something isn't covered here, email us at cfd007@qq.com.

Does the app really work offline?

Yes. All 24 city guides, attractions, recommended routes, 500+ phrases, address cards, and the emergency hub are bundled inside the app at install time. You don't need a SIM, eSIM, hotel Wi-Fi, or VPN to use any of it. The only optional online feature is "check for content updates" in Settings.

Is this a subscription?

No. China Travel Copilot does not use subscriptions. You pay once, you own it forever, on every Apple device that uses the same Apple ID. We will never auto-charge you.

I switched to a new iPhone. How do I get my purchase back?

Open Settings inside the app and tap "Restore Purchase". Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase. Your access will be restored within seconds.

Do you collect my location, contacts, or personal data?

No. We don't request location permission, we don't read contacts, we don't ask for an email or phone number. The app uses an anonymous device-only identifier just to count app opens. Read the privacy policy for full details.

What if I have an emergency in China?

Open the Emergency tab. You will find police (110), ambulance (120), fire (119), tourist hotline (12301), embassy lookup, and printable Chinese cards for "I need a doctor", "I lost my passport", "Please call my hotel". This section is always free, even if you never purchase anything.

Which cities are included?

Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Guilin, Lhasa, Lijiang, Kunming, Sanya, Harbin, Huangshan, Zhangjiajie, Hong Kong, Macau, Nanchang, Shangrao, and more — 24 in total at launch, with free updates added over time.

Will my emergency contacts work without a Chinese SIM?

Chinese emergency numbers (110 / 119 / 120) can be dialed from most foreign phones in China even without a local SIM, as long as your phone has any signal. Your embassy may require a working SIM or Wi-Fi calling — that's why we ship the numbers in advance, so you can write them down before you fly.
